Monthly entries are already a fixed monthly amount, so they're used as-is. Yearly entries and Pots are both divided by 12 — for a Pot, enter the total you're saving toward (e.g. £600/year for car tyres) and it counts as £50/month here. That monthly-equivalent figure is what feeds the totals below, so this summary reads the same every month rather than spiking around when a yearly bill actually lands.
Flag an income stream as taxable on the Income page and set a percentage to put aside — that portion is deducted automatically (the "tax pot") and only the net remainder counts as income here.
Total (net) income minus committed outgoings (needs + wants + savings, all at their monthly-equivalent amount).
Needs and wants only count what's actually committed to them. Anything left over isn't committed to anything, so it's folded into Saving here — this is what makes the three percentages add up to 100% of your income, rather than just 100% of what's already spoken for.
